Have students write an essay, five paragraphs or more (it's up to you unless you are wanting to teach the five paragraph format) on someone who has made a different in their high school career. It can be a coach, a teacher, a fellow student, even someone outside of shcool competely. In it they must address how they met eachother, who this person is, what they mean to them, how this person has helped them, etc. Bascially tell the story of their story. If the student is having trouble picking just one person, they can use an entire team, however be cautious as this can be hard to write about and it doesn't have to be a very long essay.
