Have students keep a journal throughout the semester. Do not give them topics to write about, just encourage them to do it. This is something that can be hand written in a notebook with three holes for the scrapbook or it can be typed. They can even use their blogs from myspace.com or other blog sites or notes from facebook.com for this assignment. This is just for them to keep track of what was going on that year and can serve as something they can look back on to remember what THEIR senior year was like. You can do this for a semester or the whole year or both. It is up to you.
